Championship Point Scoring System

Points awarded to competitors listed as classified race finishers for each race :

Race winner 20 points, second place 18 points, third place 17 points, subsequent placings reduced by 1 point to fifteenth place (5 points), from sixteenth to twentieth 4 points, all other race finishers 2 points and any non-finishers 1 point. Fastest lap = 1 extra point.

A drivers championship position will be determined by their total points scored less the points scored in their lowest event.
